Hyundai has announced that it will be separating the Genesis brand from itself and will launch it as
a stand-alone luxury car brand. Until now, the Genesis badge had been attached to Hyundai’s high-end luxury sedan.

The Korean carmaker has also said that there will be considerable differences in the styling
used by the parent company for its mainstream models and the stand-alone luxury brand, including new badging and naming structure.

The badge will be a development of the current wing-type logo used on the current Genesis sedan, while the new nomenclature will see models using a number after the letter G.

The solo Genesis brand is expected to get six models in its line-up by the end of the decade. The first of the six models is likely to make its debut in December this year, and is expected to be a production version of the Hyundai Vision G concept that was unveiled earlier this year.
