Honda has revealed its all-new compact SUV called Vezel at the Tokyo motor show. The car's sloping roofline and door handle in the C-pillar gives it a coupe-like look and it appears more a crossover than an SUV. The compact-SUV is based on the same platform that underpins the all-new Jazz, also revealed at the show.

It will be offered with a 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel motor option.

Unfortunately, as will be the case with several of the manufacturer's models, it is unlikely to make it to India owing to the weak rupee. Honda said that bringing the car here would work out to be too expensive, and considering the fate of too highly priced models like the last-generation Jazz, the carmaker will be loath to repeat the same mistake.
