Honda has revealed its NeuV concept ahead of its scheduled debut at the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2017. The NeuV is packed with technology, including artificial intelligence, which Honda claims will allow humans to interact with the car differently than before.

Interestingly, Honda says its battery-electric NeuV is more of a mobility solution than a car, suggesting a level of autonomy that requires little user input. However, the single image released by the carmaker shows the car still featuring a steering wheel. The concept has a long shark-fin antenna on the roof, wide-opening doors and a large glass area. The car is more of a conceptual creation than one destined for imminent production.

Details regarding its power output haven’t been released yet, although, Honda has penned the car as a ‘commuter vehicle’, suggesting a low output designed for low speeds and urban traffic.

Honda’s stand at the CES show will also feature new modes of connectivity and a system designed to alleviate traffic congestion. These collectively make up a ‘co-operative mobility ecosystem’ – Honda’s vision of the future, involving electric, connected, autonomous cars that communicate with their environment as well as the user’s portable technologies.
