The Titanium versions of the Ford Endeavour now get better connectivity as Ford has replaced the older SYNC 2 communications and infotainment system with the newer generation SYNC 3 system.
This newer voice-activated SYNC 3 promises a more intuitive touchscreen experience, quicker performance and crisper and simpler graphics compared to the outgoing version. What’s more is that the Endeavour now gets conversational voice recognition too.
Additionally, in terms of connectivity, this system now gets both – Android Auto and Apple Car Play, for users to access their phonebook, messages and music. For better convenience, AppLink for smartphone and Siri Eyes-Free for Apple iPhone users too are a part of the SYNC 3 update. As and when there’s an update for the software available, users can download it via Wifi.
While it is still equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen system along with 10 speakers, it comes with all new hardware. Unfortunately, existing Endeavour owners don’t have the option to upgrade their systems
This system also features a reverse camera display with adaptive guidelines, climate control adjustment and Ford’s emergency assistance feature among other functions.
As reported earlier, Ford India recently hiked the prices of the Endeavour by up to Rs 2.85 lakh on the 2.2L MT Trend variant, the variants that get this new SYNC 3-equipped infotainment system are the 2.2L AT Titanium (Rs 27.93 lakh) and 3.2L AT Titanium (Rs 30.89 lakh) variants whose prices recently increased by Rs 43,000 and Rs 1.13 lakh respectively.
