Mercedes Benz has launched the E 350 CDI in India at Rs 57.42 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). The E 350 CDI sits at the top of Mercedes' conventional E-class range and below the high-performance E 63 AMG.

The Mercedes E 350 CDI gets power from a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine. Coupled with a seven-speed gearbox, the E 350 CDI belts out 262bhp and 63.2kgm of torque. It is claimed that this Mercedes can go from naught to 100kph in 6.6 seconds, while the top speed is limited to 250kph.

The E 350 CDI gets a 360-degree camera, panaromic sunroof, Harman Kardon audio setup and Merc's COMAND system. Other features carried over to the new car include traction control, cruise control with steering assist, parking assist, driver attention assist and other active and passive safety features.

In June 2013, Mercedes refreshed the E-class line-up in India, but launched it with only four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. The E 350 CDI now sits below the high-performance V8-powered E 63 AMG.
