Chevrolet will soon launch a slightly updated version of the current-gen Cruze sedan in India.

The styling upgrades on the new Cruze include a slightly larger grille with honeycomb inserts, a new front bumper, LED daytime running lights, and projector fog lamps with chrome inserts. The car's rear styling is also expected to get a mild styling tweak.

On the inside, the sedan will be equipped with the MyLink infotainment system that'll offer voice recognition, Bluetooth connectivity and hands-free telephony features. The screen will also double up as a display for the reverse parking camera which will also be provided. This infotainment system is currently available on the Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV.

The Cruze will continue to be powered by the same 2.0-litre diesel engine good for 163.7bhp. The six-speed manual and automatic gearboxes will be carried forward too. The sedan competes with the likes of the Volkswagen Jetta, Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Elantra and the Skoda Octavia.

We expect the updated 2016 Cruze to hit showrooms soon. This mild styling and equipment update will keep the current-gen Cruze chugging along until the next-gen Cruze comes to India in 2017.
