Jeep has started accepting bookings for its upcoming SUV, Compass, in India. The Compass, as reported earlier, will be Jeep’s first 'Made in India' model to be manufactured at FCA’s Ranjangaon plant. Jeep is also accepting bookings on its website, as well as at dealerships.

Jeep will sell the Compass in India in five variants with five exterior paint shades to choose from. The SUV will be powered by a 2.0-litre, 172hp diesel motor mated to a six-speed manual transmission. As far as features go, the higher-spec variants of the Jeep Compass are set to have 7.0-inch Uconnect infotainment system loaded with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Kevin Flynn, president and managing director, FCA India, said, "We have pulled out all the stops to deliver the highest quality standard on the Jeep Compass and we are here to set a benchmark in the Indian SUV space.''
