Kawasaki has launched the 2027 Z650RS in India at Rs 7.83 lakh (ex-showroom), with the new model-year bike carrying over its mechanical package and equipment from the previous version.

  1. The Z650RS continues with its 649cc parallel-twin engine producing 68hp and 64Nm.
  2. It retains the same 192kg kerb weight, 800mm seat height and 12-litre fuel tank.

Same engine and cycle parts

The 2027 Kawasaki Z650RS continues with the same 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine, producing 68hp at 8,000rpm and 64Nm at 6,700rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. It retains the tubular diamond steel frame, telescopic front fork and horizontal back-link rear suspension.

Braking hardware comprises twin 300mm front discs and a 220mm rear disc, while Kawasaki Traction Control continues to be offered. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels, shod with 120/70 front and 160/60 rear tyres. Its dimensions and weight also remain unchanged, with a 12-litre fuel tank, 800mm seat height, 1,405mm wheelbase and 192kg kerb weight.

In typical neo-retro fashion, the Z650RS continues with a round LED headlight, dual-dial instrumentation with a multi-function LCD, spoke-style cast wheels and a horizontal tail section. The 2027 Z650RS is priced at Rs 7.83 lakh (ex-showroom), the same price as the 2026 model. The previous model-year update brought a Rs 14,000 increase, taking the price from Rs 7.69 lakh to Rs 7.83 lakh.
