The Detroit motor show, officially titled the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), is the first international show of 2017 and will play host to new car unveilings from a number of major manufacturers.
Here are all the cars and concepts expected to be showcased at the event.
Mercedes-Benz E-class Coupé
Expect the new Mercedes E-class Coupé to attract plenty of attention when the show gets under way. All up, the German carmaker plans to offer up to five E-class Coupé models internationally, with the choice of both four- and six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines.
Kia GT
The bold new Kia GT is also widely rumoured to be bound for the show, following a recent teaser vehicle that showed the sports saloon topping 241kph at the Nürburgring.
New Toyota Camry
Toyota will take the wraps off a new US-market Camry. While Lexus has a press conference scheduled, it has so far been tight-lipped about what it might show. A third Toyota group conference will reveal news relevant to both brands.
New Chevrolet Corvette ZR1
A new version of the track-focused Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is also set to be launched at the Detroit motor show. A rival to the Porsche 911 GT3, the ZR1’s supercharged 6.2-litre V8 is expected to be ramped up to produce over 710hp. The track-focused supercar will also have a massive, fixed rear wing and lightweight wheels.
