Gets a 60.13kWh battery pack paired with a 204hp front-axle-mounted motor

Vinfast has equipped the VF MPV 7 with a 60.13kWh battery pack, which gives it a claimed range of 517km (ARAI-rated). The battery is paired with a front-axle-mounted electric motor that produces 204hp and 280Nm, enabling a claimed sub-9 second 0-100kph run. It is offered with three driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport, and brake regeneration modes as well.

The VF MPV 7 supports up to 80kW DC fast charging, which juices the battery from 10-70 percent in 30 minutes.

Vinfast VF MPV 7 exterior design

Exterior design is inspired by other Vinfast models

The Vinfast VF MPV 7 has a boxy silhouette and some design details that look similar to the smaller VF6 and VF7. At the front, it gets slim LED lightbars that seamlessly merge with the Vinfast logo. It also gets vertically stacked LED projector headlights, a blanked-off grille and a rugged black portion on the front bumper with some horizontal lines to break the monotony.

In profile, it features 19-inch aerodynamically designed alloy wheels, body-coloured outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) with mounted turn signals and a chrome strip running across the windowline. The wheel arches and lower section of the body feature thin black cladding.

At the rear, it gets a connected LED tail-light bar, which converges in the centre with the Vinfast logo, similar to the LED DRLs at the front. The VF MPV 7 also features a roof-mounted spoiler, a rear wiper and washer and a shark-fin antenna.

Gets a minimalistic dashboard, a single screen and 7 seats

Inside, the VF MPV 7 is offered with either a dual-tone black and brown or an all-black theme choice. It features 7 seats in a raked, theatre-like positioning, all of which get adjustable headrests, 3-point seatbelts and leatherette upholstery. Interestingly, the manufacturer claims that the VF MPV 7 has the best third-row space among its rivals.

The dashboard has a minimal design with a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen at the centre that also doubles up as an instrumentation and climate control display. It gets a tilt- and telescopic-adjustable 3-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel with a column-mounted drive selector stalk. The centre console is also minimalistic, with a wireless phone charger, two cupholders and a cubby space to further store items like a wallet or phone.

It also offers all four power windows with one-touch up/down and anti-pinch functions, and automatic climate control with dedicated vents for all three rows. In terms of safety, it gets 4 airbags, a rear parking camera with sensors, an electronic parking brake, hill hold assist, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). It misses out on amenities like a sunroof, ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera and ADAS, all of which are available with its rivals.

To make ownership easier, Vinfast is offering a Rs 2 lakh incentive for customers exchanging a combustion-powered car with the VF MPV 7. The manufacturer has also committed to offering a 75 percent buyback value on the e-MPV, which will be calculated on the basis of the vehicle’s ex-showroom price. The carmaker has also announced a 3-year free maintenance, 7-year vehicle warranty and a 10-year battery warranty with the VF MPV 7.

Like the VF6 and VF7, customers can avail free charging for their VF MPV 7 at Vinfast’s V-Green EV charging stations until March 31, 2029.

Prices are ex-showroom, India.
