Tata Harrier EV waiting periods extend up to 10 weeks

Tata Harrier EV appears to be gaining traction with buyers, as higher-spec variants of the electric midsize SUV currently command waiting periods of up to 10 weeks. Tata Motors launched the Harrier EV in June as its flagship EV offering. Prices for the Harrier EV start at Rs 21.49 lakh and go up to Rs 28.99 lakh, excluding the cost of installing a home charger.

Demand for the Harrier EV’s mid-spec Fearless+ (Rs 23.99 lakh-24.99 lakh) and top-spec Empowered (Rs 27.49 lakh-28.99 lakh) trims seems particularly strong, with waiting periods for both 65kWh and 75kWh configurations ranging from eight to 10 weeks, regardless of whether you opt for the AC fast charger (ACFC) or not.

Interestingly, the Harrier EV Stealth Edition cosmetic package, which is available for a Rs 75,000 premium in the Empowered trim, also commands the same waiting period. Here’s a variant-wise breakdown of the Harrier EV waiting periods this month:

RWD is standard, 75kWh battery gets AWD option.

Most Harrier EV trims are available with both 65kWh and 75kWh battery options, mated to a rear-mounted motor developing 238hp and 315Nm. AWD is offered in the top-spec Harrier EV Empowered 75 trim, where a motor is added on the front axle for a combined output of 313hp and 504Nm.

At 627km, the 75kWh RWD Harrier EV variants deliver the highest claimed range in the line-up. The 75kWh AWD versions follow closely with a claimed range of 622km, while the Harrier EV 65kWh RWD can travel up to a claimed 538km on a single charge.
