Tata Motors has released another teaser of the new Aeris sedan, this time giving a first look at its interior. Essentially the Tigor facelift, the Tata Aeris is set to launch tomorrow.
Tata Aeris interior teaser details
A 360-degree camera, wireless charging pad and new steering wheel are among the key feature highlights seen in the teaser. A rotary drive selector and paddle shifters behind the steering wheel suggest that the model shown in the teaser is equipped with an automatic gearbox.
Several physical controls are also visible around the cabin. The Tiago-like floating-style touchscreen may measure 10.25 inches and the Aeris will also be equipped with a floating-style digital instrument cluster. A beige-colour theme has been applied to the interior, including the dashboard, door trims and seats.
Tata Aeris exterior design
In comparison to the current Tigor, the Aeris gets a sleeker front-end design, with slim LED headlights and a thin DRL strip above them. A teaser from before also revealed LED fog lamps, which the Tigor does not get. Other changes include redesigned tail-lights, traditional pull-type door handles and a new purple exterior shade. Despite being a facelift, the Aeris will also get sheet metal changes.
Tata Aeris powertrains
The Aeris could carry over the Tigor's powertrain options, including 1.2-litre petrol and a petrol-CNG. Both could be offered with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT.
Prices are expected to increase slightly with the facelift. Currently, the Tata Tigor is priced from Rs 5.55 lakh to Rs 8.84 lakh, ex-showroom.
