The Mahindra XUV300 has crossed the 25,000-unit production milestone within six months of the compact SUV’s launch in the country. Launched in February this year, the XUV300 registered 13,000 bookings within a month of launch, with the bookings figure crossing the 25,000-unit mark back in May 2019.
Available in four variants – W4, W6, W8 and W8(O) – the XUV300 comes with the choice of a 110hp, 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol or a 117hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine, both paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.
Additionally, the diesel engine can now be had with the option of a new 6-speed AMT gearbox on the top W8 and W8(O) trim levels; priced at Rs 11.50 lakh and Rs 12.70 lakh (ex-showroom, India), respectively, the AMT variants cost about Rs 55,000 more than their diesel-manual counterparts.
Recently, Mahindra also launched the Thar 700 – the final edition of the current-generation Thar – with only 700 units having been produced.
