Lamborghini has just launched the Huracan Evo RWD (rear-wheel drive) in the Indian market and priced it at Rs 3.22 crore (ex-showroom, India). The new Huracan Evo RWD model will be sold alongside the all-wheel-drive Evo and Evo Spyder, which are priced at Rs 3.73 crore and Rs 4.1 crore, respectively.

Powering the Evo RWD is the same 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 engine, as seen in all previous iterations of the Huracan. In this iteration, however, the engine is tuned to produce 610hp at 8,000rpm and 550Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. This means that the Evo RWD makes 40hp more than the last-gen Huracan RWD but 30hp and 40Nm less than the all-wheel-drive (AWD) Evo. Lamborghini claims a top speed of 325kph for the RWD and a 0-100kph sprint time of 3.3sec.

On the design front, the Italian supercar maker equipped the RWD with a new front splitter and air intake, along with a reworked rear diffuser, to help differentiate it from the standard Huracan Evo. Feature-wise, the Evo RWD gets an 8.4-inch touchscreen in the centre console with Apple CarPlay compatibility, a fully-digital instrument cluster, and 19-inch alloys shod in Pirelli P Zero tyres.

The Evo RWD weighs 33kg less than the all-wheel-drive Evo, due to the lighter rear-wheel-drive layout. It also gets a specially tuned version of the Lamborghini Performance Traction Control System (P-TCS) that features the Strada, Sport and Corsa drive modes. Lamborghini’s Dynamic Steering system is also said to be specifically tuned for the Evo RWD, to increase driver feedback.

As seen with all other Lamborghinis, the Evo RWD is being offered with a long list of optional extras that allows buyers to customise their supercars to a large degree. In terms of rivals, the Evo RWD competes with other two-wheel-drive supercars like the upcoming Ferrari F8 Tributo, the Aston Martin Vantage and the Mercedes-AMG GT R
