JSW MG Motor India has announced a 2 percent price hike across all its models. MG says the price increase will be effective from January 1, 2026, and is due to rising input costs and other macroeconomic factors.

Here's the expected price of two popular MG models after the price hike
For example, MG's bestselling model, the Windsor EV, could see a price increase of about Rs 30,000-37,000, taking its ex-showroom price to between Rs 14.27 lakh and Rs 18.76 lakh.
Similarly, MG's most affordable model, the Comet EV, could see a price hike ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000, bringing its ex-showroom price to between Rs 7.64 lakh and Rs 10.19 lakh.

MG recently introduced the facelifted Hector with a redesigned front grille, new interior colour themes, alloy wheel design, and comes with features like a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, swipe gestures, a 7-inch digital driver's display, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, auto AC and ventilated and powered front seats.
Prices for the Hector facelift start at Rs 11.99 lakh and go up to Rs 18.99 lakh. The recently updated 7-seat Hector Plus is priced between Rs 17.29 lakh and Rs 19.49 lakh. Prices for the diesel and 6-seat variants of the Hector will be announced in 2026.
MG’s price hikes are a response to ongoing market conditions, following similar announcements by other brands. Likewise, brands like Mercedes-Benz and BYD have also announced price increases across their respective portfolios, effective from January 2026, due to currency pressures and rising operational costs.
