As part of ongoing revisions to its India range, BMW has discontinued some variants of the X5. The X5 range now includes the xDrive 30d Design Pure Experience variant and the xDrive 30d M Sport trim. The range-topping X5 M continues unchanged.

Prices start at Rs 74.70 lakh for the Design Pure Experience, the M Sport costs Rs 80.10 lakh, while the X5 M is priced at Rs 1.72 crore (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).

Gone from the X5’s India range is the 306hp, 3.0-litre xDrive 35i petrol model, the base-spec xDrive 30d Expedition and the Design Pure Experience 5+2 (seven-seater).

Typical of the M Sport trim, it sports slightly different exteriors and interiors as compared to the Design Pure Experience in order to differentiate between the two.

In terms of kit, the M Sport gets a heads-up display and electrically adjustable front seats over the Pure Design Experience.

BMW is expected to bring a bevy of cars to India in 2018, starting with the the 6-series GT, the all-new M5, the BMW i8 Roadster and the third-gen X3.
