Ultraviolette Automotive F77 SuperStreet

The Ultraviolette F77 Super Street is based on the F77 Mach 2 and remains largely unchanged in terms of design. The main visual changes are a taller and wider handlebar and a redesigned headlight cowl. It is also available in four new colours. The footpegs remain unchanged to retain some of the aggressive character of the bike. The new headlight cowl is claimed to improve aerodynamics compared with the Mach 2.

The biggest change is the more relaxed riding position. The taller and wider handlebar makes the Super Street easier and more comfortable to ride than the Mach 2. It also feels easier to manage at low speeds, which makes it better suited to city riding. However, the 207kg weight is still noticeable when moving the bike around at parking speeds or lifting it off the stand.

The Super Street is available in two variants. The base version gets a 7.1kWh battery, producing 36.2hp and 90Nm, with an IDC range of 211km. The Recon gets a 10.3kWh battery, producing 40hp and 100Nm, with an IDC range of 323km. The motor delivers strong torque on demand, while the throttle feels precise and easy to control. With the highest regenerative braking level selected, the brakes were rarely needed during the test.

The suspension setup is carried over from the Mach 2, but the new handlebar reduces the weight over the front fork and allows slightly more usable suspension travel. On rough patches, the Super Street felt a little more forgiving, while its handling remained sharp and engaging through corners. Braking performance was good, although the bike’s weight was noticeable under hard braking.

The Super Street gets a 5-inch TFT that is slightly more inclined for better visibility. It also comes with nine levels of regenerative braking, three levels of traction control and dynamic stability control as standard on both variants.

The F77 Super Street costs essentially the same as the Mach 2. It retains the Mach 2’s exciting performance and handling while offering a more relaxed and comfortable riding position. According to the Autocar India review, it is the easier choice for those looking for an electric motorcycle that is fun to ride while being reasonably comfortable for city use.
