Updated Yezdi Scrambler details
The updates include weight reduction and notable styling changes
One of the most notable improvements that Classic Legends has achieved with the updated Scrambler is an 8kg weight reduction. The company has brought the dry weight down to 174kg from the outgoing model’s 182kg.
Part of the weight loss has likely been achieved by moving to a single-exhaust setup instead of its predecessor’s twin exhausts. While the updated Scrambler largely retains the same silhouette, it gets new tank graphics, a ‘69’-numbered side panel and a revised seat – the last of which potentially plays a part in the 13mm increase in seat height to 813mm.
The updated Scrambler is powered by a revised 334cc engine. While displacement remains unchanged, output has increased by 0.9hp and 1.8Nm. The engine now produces 30hp and 30Nm.
Three riding modes – Road, Off-Road and Rain – adjust throttle response and traction control intervention. Like before, the suspension setup features a telescopic front fork and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The motorcycle runs on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels.
The updated Yezdi Scrambler is priced at Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is roughly Rs 5,000 more than the outgoing model.
