UM plans to launch a 150cc scooter in India. Leaked images of presentation slides reveal that it will be called the Chill 150 ABS.

The scooter receives retro styling, much like the Vespa. The slides show the scooter with chrome-finished mirrors, and chrome trim on the body panels and exhaust cover, which add to the modern-retro styling. The scooter is likely to come with two storage compartments – one under the seat, and one in the front apron.

Front and rear disc brakes, a 150cc motor and ABS will enable the scooter to further rival the Vespa and the Aprilia 150cc scooters. One of the slides also reveals that the UM Chill 150 ABS will be available in four colour options – white, blue, black and red.

Rumours suggest that the American two-wheeler manufacturer plans to launch the scooter in the country by August 2019; and with it, aims to tap into one of the world’s biggest scooter markets.
