Within a few days of launching the Speed 400 and showcasing the Scrambler 400 X, Triumph has received over 10,000 bookings in India and its partner Bajaj Auto has stated the production will be ramped up to meet this "unprecedented demand".

The Speed 400 was announced at Rs 2.33 lakh at the India launch on July 5, with a special inaugural price of Rs 2.23 lakh for the first 10,000 customers. The motorcycle will be available in Triumph showrooms from the end of July, while the Scrambler 400 X will be available from October and its price will be announced closer to the launch.

Talking about the strong response from customers, Rakesh Sharma, executive director, Bajaj Auto, said: “A pre-order of 10,000 bikes within such a short span is unprecedented and a testament to the unwavering faith that riders have placed in Bajaj Auto and Triumph Motorcycles. We are committed to our promise of manufacturing exceptional motorcycles that captivate riders with their performance, design, and technology.”

Bajaj Auto says production will be ramped up to meet this demand. By making an online booking, customers can reserve their spot and reduce the waiting period, assured the company. Once bikes reach dealerships, they will invite customers from the booking list to make payments.

All prices mentioned are ex-showroom, India.
