Suzuki India has hiked the prices of its entire BS6 motorcycle range by around Rs 2,000. The list includes the 155cc Gixxer and the 250cc Gixxer SF, as well as their respective MotoGP editions. The 155cc Gixxer range begins at Rs 1.13 lakh, while the starting price of the 250cc Gixxer is Rs 1.65 lakh. Interestingly, the BS6 155cc Gixxers were launched recently in March 2020 and this is their first price hike already. The Suzuki Intruder, the company's contender in the 150-160cc cruiser motorcycle space, will be dearer by Rs 2,141, and now cost Rs 1.22 lakh. This trend of price hikes is not new, and we've seen Suzuki gradually increase the price of their BS6 models in the past, case in point being the Access 125, which received two price hikes since it was launched in January 2020.

Suzuki's price difference between BS4 and BS6 motorcycles has always been big and this hike has increased it further. Take the 155cc Suzuki Gixxer, for instance, which is the most expensive motorcycle in the segment. It goes up against the TVS Apache RTR 160 4v (Rs 1.06 lakh), Yamaha FZ S (Rs 1.01 lakh), Honda X-Blade (Rs 1.06 lakh) and the newly launched Hero Xtreme 160R (Rs 1 lakh)

Refer to the table below for the updated price list of Suzuki's entire BS6 range.
