Hero MotoCorp has given its Super Splendor a minor upgrade. The Super Splendor now gets new body graphics and new color options that include red, black, grey and blue. The updated bike will get black alloy wheels as standard. It will also get a side stand warning indicator that was seen earlier on the Splendor i-Smart.

On the mechanical front, however, the new Hero Super Splendor remains unchanged. It will continue to be powered by a four-stroke, single cylinder, air-cooled 124.7cc engine that produces maximum power of 9bhp at 7000rpm and 1kgm of peak torque at 4000rpm. The engine is mated to a four-speed gearbox.

Hero has, however, discontinued the option of disc brakes for the Super Splendor because of low demand. The bike now gets 130mm drum brakes at both ends. The new, refreshed version of the Hero Super Splendor is priced at Rs 51,250 (ex-showroom Delhi).
