Simple Energy, details

Simple Energy will design the retail spaces and experience centres, but the showrooms will be owned and operated by the company’s official network partners. These dealerships will be located in Vijayawada, Bengaluru (Rajajinagar, JP Nagar, and Marathahalli), Pune, and Goa.

The Simple Energy ONE and Dot One electric scooters are priced at Rs 1.45 lakh and Rs 1 lakh, respectively (ex-showroom). The ONE’s battery set-up comprises both fixed and removable components, offering a combined capacity of 4.8kWh, and a claimed range of 212km. Meanwhile, the Simple Dot One is powered by a 3.7kWh battery and has a claimed range of 151km. Both e-scooters are powered by a motor with a peak output of 8.5kW and 72Nm. The suspension setup consists of a telescopic fork and a monoshock, while braking is handled by disc brakes with CBS.

Simple Energy, an Indian electric vehicle startup founded in 2019, released its first mass-market motorcycle, the Simple ONE, in 2021. However, deliveries were delayed to June 2022 and then again to January 2023. Deliveries to customers finally began in June 2023, and to date, Simple Energy has sold 639 units.
