Simple Energy has filed as many as twelve different trademarks for upcoming electric two-wheelers, to follow its yet-to-be-launched One e-scooter. While they have filed as many as 12 trademarks, only three of those have actually been approved.

  • Simple has filed trademarks for names Two through Ten
  • Simple is yet to begin deliveries of One e-scooter

Simple Energy files 12 trademarks

Simple Energy has presumably been future-proofing its upcoming electric model line-up, filing trademark applications for the names Two through to Ten. Additionally, a few non-numerical trademarks, Simple Gravity, Vision and Vision25, have also been filed by the Bengaluru-based start-up.

Of these trademark applications, only three have been approved, the Simple Six, Eight and Nine. Simple Energy has also filed a trademark application for their tagline, ‘Be The Change’, which has presently passed the formalities check.

Simple Energy One e-scooter deliveries delayed, yet again

While Simple Energy has been busy filing trademark applications for future modes, it has yet to begin deliveries of its One e-scooter. Deliveries were supposed to begin in December 2021 but that got delayed to June 2022, which in turn got pushed to September. Now, the company has yet again postponed the delivery timeline to Q1 2023. Simple Energy claims that this delay has been caused by its need to comply with the new guidelines issued by MoRTH, which concerns battery safety.

Would you pick the Simple Energy One over its more established and readily available rivals in the electric scooter marketplace? Let us know in the comments section below.
