Ducati 1199 Panigale wins Compasso d'Oro design award

Ducati's 1199 Panigale has received the Compasso d'Oro design award and is the first motorcycle to get this honour. The motorcycle will become part of the Compasso d'Oro collection.

This collection is managed by the ADI Foundation, founded in 2001, and represents a heritage of excellence for creativity and production. The Lombardy Regional Department of Ministry for Cultural Heritage considers this collection to be a part of their national heritage.

The 23^rd edition of the award ceremony was hosted at the former Ansaldo works in Milan on May 28, 2014, and registered more than 270 products. This function is held every three years, wherein an expert panel selects the merit-worthy products to be awarded with the ADI Compasso d'Oro award.
