Mahindra 2 Wheelers is all set to launch a facelifted version of its popular scooter, the Rodeo. It is already an accomplished scooter and we expect that the upgrade will come in the form of the updated Z-series engine – the same one that debuted on the Duro DZ earlier this year. The updated motor features an improved, dual-curve digital ignition system (DCDI) and boasts 8.1bhp at 7000rpm and peak torque of 0.91kgm at 5500rpm.

Compared to the competition, this relatively small but peppy-looking scooter has always come packed with a host of features, such as fully digital instruments with seven backlight colours to choose from, a front fuel filler, a 12v mobile charger and an illuminated under-seat bay. The Rodeo is Mahindra 2 Wheelers’ hot seller and we expect the Rs 47,196 (ex showroom, Maharashtra) price to remain largely unchanged. Watch out for our first ride report soon.
