Italian motorcycle manufacturer MV Agusta operates in India under the umbrella of its local partner, Motoroyale – the Kinetic Group's premium motorcycle division. With the F4 and Brutale 1000 now discontinued, its Indian portfolio currently includes the supersport F3 800 and the naked Brutale 800. Now, a new addition to this line-up has arrived at Indian shores and is set to go on sale in the next three months.

The Turismo Veloce is MV's take on a sport-tourer. The brand claims that it's biased more towards the sports side than the tourer side of things. MV Agusta even calls it “the everyday F3”. The bike is powered by a 798cc, three-cylinder motor featuring a counter-rotating crankshaft and makes 110hp at 10,150 rpm and 80Nm of torque at 7,100rpm. The Turismo gets a 6-speed gearbox equipped with a quickshifter as standard.

The motor sits inside a trellis frame and the standard variant comes equipped with a Marzocchi USD fork and a Sachs monoshock. The Turismo Veloce is also available in a Lusso variant which comes with added aids like cruise control, luggage panniers and a Sachs USD fork. Another variant of the bike includes what MV Agusta calls the SCS (Smart Clutch System). The SCS essentially allows for clutchless operation, allowing for you to come to a standstill, engage gears and ride without having to use the clutch.

In India, the Turismo will compete in a segment that currently boasts of similar motorcycles like the Tiger 800 XRx and the Multistrada 950. While it’s still unclear if all variants will be made available here, we hear they could be slightly more expensive than the current Rs 17.99 lakh (ex showroom) priced F3 800. To put things into better perspective, the F3 800 costs €17,290 (Rs 13.82 lakh) on the international website. Here's a look at the international price structure for the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce.
