MV Agusta unveils special-edition Brutale 800 America.

MV Agusta has revealed a special edition of the Brutale 800, the Brutale 800 America. Harking back to the S America 750, a USA-themed bike powered by an in-line four engine, the Brutale 800 America sports the same blue, white and red livery, but is powered by a three-cylinder mill instead.

The Brutale 800 America is a numbered special edition, boasting an ostentatious American theme. The differences between the Brutale 800 and the limited-edition bike are purely aesthetic, starting with the metallic blue tank with its star-studded motif and gloss black paintwork to the red, extra-padded seat and triple clamp with 'America Special Edition' and the bike’s sequential production number laser-cut into it.

MV Agusta will sell just 50 units of the Brutale 800 America (one for each American state), at a price of $14,998. Every bike will be accompanied by a certificate stating its sequential production number.

Mechanically, the Brutale 800 America is identical to the standard bike, powered by a 798cc, three-cylinder engine that makes 109hp at 11,500rpm and 83Nm at 7,600rpm. It will be officially displayed at the World Superbike races at California’s Laguna Seca from July 7-9, 2017 and will go on sale in the US in August 2017.
