    KTM-based CF Moto MT800 revealed

CF Moto has taken the wraps off the new MT800 that's based on the KTM 790 Adventure.

    Production ready CF Moto MT800

The CF Moto MT800 is based on the KTM 790 Adventure and it shares the same 799cc, LC8c parallel-twin engine. The difference, however, is in the peak power that's down to 95hp in the CF Moto.

The CF Moto MT800 also utilises the KTM 790 Adventure's frame and possibly the same suspension as well. But from what is clearly visible, CF Moto has attached a new swingarm, instead of the one on the KTM 790 Adventure.

As far as design is concerned, CF Moto seems to have come up with a functional design that seems to be inspired by the new Honda Africa Twin. The front end has a sleek headlamp that's possibly an LED unit and large windscreen above it, that should be adjustable. A tiny beak looks part of the Adventure motorcycle design brief and you'll notice a pair of auxiliary lights that are nearly recessed.

The fuel tank appears to be large, with the tank extensions flowing neatly with the design. Unlike the KTM 790 Adventure's low slung fuel tank, this is conventionally placed.

Other design bits like the gold wire-spoke rims, large metal bash plate and panniers (that should be sold as an accessory) complete the Adventure motorcycle look.

The rest of the details, such as the weight, suspension travel, ground clearance, etc. Will be revealed later.

The CF Moto MT800 is expected to go on sale in China soon and there is a possibility of the company launching it in the European markets as well.

    CF Moto 1250TR updated

The 2021 CF Moto 1250TR has been updated and said to have ditched the top box for a slightly sleeker design.

The 1250TR debuted in China as a police vehicle and the updated model is said to have gained 7kg over the cop bike, tipping the scales at 304kg.

The updated touring motorcycle's 1279cc engine, inspired by the KTM's LC8 V-twin develops 140hp, making it the most powerful Chinese production motorcycle. Despite these figures the motorcycle's top speed is capped to 218kph unlike the police motorcycle that manages to hit 240kph.
