India Kawasaki Motors, Kawasaki’s Indian two-wheeler arm has inaugurated its first showroom in Kolkata. This is the bike maker's fifth outlet in the country. The showroom, set up with the help of Bajaj Auto, Kawasaki's importer and strategic long-term partner, will offer authorised after-sales service too.

Kawasaki says that the new showroom in Kolkata will help the brand expand in the north-eastern region of India.

The Japanese brand recently reduced the price of its Z800 sportsbike, effective till the end of March to help boost sales. Kawasaki says, all these factors combined will help increase its sales in India by a strong 50 percent this year.
