Italian two-wheeler brand Italjet unveiled its Dragster line-up of scooters for India at EICMA 2026 in Milan. Italjet is entering India with a strategic partnership with Motohaus India, the Kolhapur-based distributor that also handles Brixton Motorcycles and VLF (Velocifero). As we reported last month, the brand has now revealed its product portfolio and launch timelines. Motohaus plans to introduce three models in a phased manner: the Italjet Dragster 300, Dragster 459 and Dragster 700.

  1. Dragster 300 has a 278cc liquid-cooled engine that makes 23.8hp and 26Nm
  2. Dragster 459 and 700 use liquid-cooled parallel-twin engines
  3. All three scooters feature Brembo brakes
  4. India debut on December 4 at IBW

At the heart of the Dragster 300 is a 278cc liquid-cooled engine, which makes 23.8hp at 8,250rpm and 26Nm of torque at 6,250rpm. Suspension duties are handled by a single arm and a hydropneumatic shock absorber with an adjustable spring at the front and a link-type monoshock at the rear. It features Brembo brakes with a 240mm disc at the front and a 175mm disc at the rear; dual-channel ABS is standard. Featuring a 698cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine that makes 70hp and 70Nm of torque, a 6-speed gearbox and an exposed tubular steel trellis frame, the Dragster 700 is the brand’s top-of-the-line scooter for India. This scooter shares the cycle parts with the Dragster 459, meaning it uses the fully adjustable USD front fork and monoshock from Marzocchi. It rides on 15-inch wheels with 120-section front and 160-section rear tyres from Pirelli. Braking duties are handled by Brembo’s 270mm dual front discs and a 260mm rear disc. Along with the dual-channel ABS, traction control is also standard.

All three models come standard with full LED lighting and a TFT instrument cluster. Customers can add optional features such as heated grips and an anti-theft system. A 24-month manufacturer warranty is standard, though information on extended warranty plans is currently unavailable.

Italjet has scheduled its India debut for India Bike Week (IBW), which will be held on December 4-5, 2026. As part of its India product roadmap, the Italjet Dragster 300, Dragster 459 and Dragster 700 will be introduced. The models will be assembled at Motohaus India’s manufacturing facility in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. Deliveries are expected to commence in the second quarter of 2027, and further details regarding the India-model specifications, pricing and availability will be announced at a later stage.

Poll of the month

There will be 12 new Citroen and Jeep launches by 2030. Will this boost interest in these brands?

Yes, fresh models is just what's needed.
Only if sales and service expands alongside.
