Vagator, Goa will once again play host to one of the biggest biking festivals in India. The fifth-edition of India Bike Week will be held on November 24 and 25 and is expected to attract around 20,000 bikers from all around the country. The event is also set to welcome over 280 motorcycle clubs from India and will have a number of events, new and regular favourites.

For 2017, a purpose-built flat-track Harley-Davidson Street 750 by Rajputana Customs will invite bikers to lay down their best flat-track-timed laps, where the fastest rider will get a prize. The IBW Enduro Track will host the Triumph Tiger Trail where professional Enduro riders will help out. The event will also feature the usual crowd-pullers held at IBW – Indian Bike Build Off, Dyno Wars, Burn Out and Loudest Bike competitions. In addition, this year features a new Moto Art Project – an exhibition of motorcycle-inspired art.

The event will also have a Biker Mart and Expo that will see over 100 bike accessory shops including Performance Racing Store, Outdoor Travel Gear, Rynox, Big Bad Bikes, and High Note. From the 280 motorcycle groups attending, the 30 largest will introduce themselves on stage, ride in a parade and showcase their clubs at dedicated pavilions.

International figures like Leslie Porterfield and Freddie Spencer will also be present at the event. A rider and racer for 16 years, Porterfield holds three land speed records and is a member of the Bonneville 200mph club. Freddie Spencer is regarded as one of the greatest motorcycle racers of the early 1980s. He is the only man to win back-to-back championships in two classes, 250cc and 500cc.
