Honda had outlined its plans towards a greener future a few months ago, which includes the introduction of 10 new electric bikes and scooters. Now, in an image released by the American division of Honda, we can clearly see what appears to be an electric motorcycle.

    1. Aggressive design language resembles Honda CB750 Hornet, CB300F
    2. Large battery pack clearly visible

    Honda electric bike: details

The Honda electric bike sports the same design language as the newly launched CB750 Hornet and the CB300F, with a sharp and angular front section – where all the mass seems to be centralised – merging into a tapered rear end.

While the aforementioned Honda bikes are powered by an internal combustion engine, this particular design sketch clearly features a battery pack, differentiating it from the ICE models. There also seems to be a USD fork with twin disc brakes, suggesting that perhaps this electric bike will have some sporting intent to it.

Since the Honda electric bike is just a design sketch at the moment, a lot can (and most likely will) change by the time it's available to the general public sometime in the next few years.
