Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has introduced a new Matt Axis Grey paint scheme on Dio, to commemorate the sale of million units of the scooter in the country. The update comes at no additional cost as the updated Dio continues to be priced at Rs 48,264 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Mechanically, the Dio remains unchanged, and is still powered by an 8hp, 109.2cc single cylinder, four-stroke engine, which is coupled to a CVT automatic gearbox. We would have however liked to see telescopic forks on the Dio, which are now offered even on the less expensive Navi.
The Dio was launched in 2002, and is currently the most exported model of HMSI. It is exported to Latin America (Colombia), South America (Mexico), Sri Lanka and Nepal.

Besides the new Matte Axis Grey colour, the Dio is also available in four more paint schemes, namely Jazzy Blue Metallic, Candy Palm Green, Sports Red and Black.
