At the launch event of the Honda Livo today, Keita Muramatsu, President and CEO of Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India told our sister publication Autocar Professional, that the brand has organised a programme called the ‘Revfest’. where a range of motorcycles of the company will be launched. To be held on August 4, 2015, the  vehicles launched will be in the 125cc to 650cc segments.

A definite launch scheduled for that day is of the Honda CBR650F, which along with Honda’s final offerings will complete the list of 15 new vehicles expected for the year. The Honda CBR650F will mark an important beginning for the company in the large-capacity motorcycle market, especially since its assembly will be carried out at its Manesar plant. The company is currently assembling one bike per shift per day, and will operate as per the market demand after its launch next month. HMSI plans to roll out this model through select 10 dealerships across top 10 cities.

The Honda CBR650F will be equipped with a 649cc, four-stroke, 4-cylinder DOHC engine that produces 87bhp at 11,000rpm and peak torque of 6.4kgm at 8,000rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox, shifting in the 1-down and 5-up pattern. The engine will be tuned to deliver power immediately, right from the beginning of its powerband, to aid hassle-free riding on Indian conditions. More on the Honda CBR650F as we get the news.
