Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has collaborated with Delhi Traffic Police to conduct a safety programme for children between the ages of 5 and 16 years. The training programme took place between November 14 and 27 at the 32^nd India International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan and was attended by over 50,000 people. Safe riding practices were imparted to children between 5 and 8 years through role-play and interactive games, while a practical riding training session involving 1,100 children reached out to the 9-12 years age group, astride Honda’s CRF 50 mini-motorcycle. Parents were advised not to let their kids ride or drive before the stipulated license-eligible age.

Additionally, Honda trainers informed 2,000 visitors above the age of 16 years about 100 realistic hazards present on our roads. They stressed on a three-pronged S policy, of sales, service and spares. Recently Honda has inducted a fourth S; safety into the policy. The manufacturer's aim with this programme was to educate children about as many riding hazards as possible, and how to best avoid and deal with them.
