Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has collaborated with Delhi Traffic Police to conduct a safety programme for children between the ages of 5 and 16 years. The training programme took place between November 14 and 27 at the 32nd India International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan and was attended by over 50,000 people. Safe riding practices were imparted to children between 5 and 8 years through role-play and interactive games, while a practical riding training session involving 1,100 children reached out to the 9-12 years age group, astride Honda’s CRF 50 mini-motorcycle. Parents were advised not to let their kids ride or drive before the stipulated license-eligible age.

Additionally, Honda trainers informed 2,000 visitors above the age of 16 years about 100 realistic hazards present on our roads. They stressed on a three-pronged S policy, of sales, service and spares. Recently Honda has inducted a fourth S; safety into the policy. The manufacturer's aim with this programme was to educate children about as many riding hazards as possible, and how to best avoid and deal with them.
