After launching the Xtreme 125R with ride-by-wire, cruise control and riding modes, Hero has extended these features to the Xtreme 160R 4V in the form of a new Combat Edition that features a grey and yellow paint scheme, along with a new headlight.
1. Hero Xtreme 160R 4V now gets cruise control and riding modes
2. It also gets a new headlight shared with the Xtreme 250R
The Xtreme 160R 4V Combat-Edition: What’s new?
The 160R 4V now gets the same feature-set as smaller 125R.
Much like the Xoom 110 and Karizma XMR Combat Editions, the Xtreme 160R’s special edition also features a grey and yellow paint scheme. Additionally, this Combat Edition also gets ride-by-wire, which unlocks cruise control and riding modes (Rain, Road and Sport) that's controlled via a new colour-LCD dash shared with the Xtreme 250R.
Another thing that is shared with the 250R is the headlight. Earlier, the Xtreme 160R 4V featured reflector-based LEDs, but it now swaps them out for the 250R’s LED projector unit that also adds the ‘H’ DRL, bringing it in line with the latest Hero models.
Hero has only listed out the various features that the new Combat Edition gets on its website but not its price. We expect it will be launched soon. For reference, the Xtreme 125R top-spec with the same feature set commands a premium of Rs 12,000 over the next variant and Hero could follow a similar pricing strategy for the 160R 4V as well. Currently the Xtreme 160R 4V is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh.
