The Caponord 1200 touring motorcycle from Italian motorcycle manufacturer Aprilia has reached Indian shores. The bike is available in two variants, the Caponord 1200 and Caponord 1200 Travel Pack.

This motorcycle is based on the Dorsoduro 1200 with the same engine but in a different state-of-tune apt for touring. The Caponord 1200 comes with ABS and Aprilia’s traction control as standard and houses a V-twin, 1197cc fuel injected engine generating 130bhp of power at 8500rpm and peak torque of 11.8kgm at 6500rpm.

The travel pack variant includes colour-coded panniers, cruise control and Aprilia’s Dynamic Damping suspension which can be electronically adjusted. It has four different settings, (rider only, rider and passenger, rider only with panniers, rider with passenger and panniers). This novel electronic suspension can also be left in automatic mode. Both variants are available in white and black.

The Caponord 1200 is priced at Rs 14.95 lakh while the Travel Pack variant costs Rs 16.7 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, Gurgaon) and bookings are now being accepted with a delivery time of 8-10 weeks.
