BS6 Hero Xtreme 200S to be priced at Rs 1.15 lakh

The BS6 Hero Xtreme 200S will launch soon and will be priced at Rs 1.15 lakh. Hero has also updated its website with details of the upcoming motorcycle.

    BS6 Hero Xtreme 200S engine

As expected, the updated Hero Xtreme 200S will be powered by the same 199.6cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine as the one on the BS6 Xpulse 200. Peak output figures stand at 18.08hp at 8,500rpm and 16.4Nm of torque at 6,500rpm, in comparison to the BS4 bike’s 18.4hp at 8,000rpm and 17.1Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. Another significant change is the addition of an oil-cooler.

The oil-cooler and the catalytic converter in the exhaust have brought along with them a 5.5kg increase in weight, putting the BS6 Xtreme 200S’ weight at 154.5kg. The rest of the bike, meanwhile, remains largely identical to the BS4 model.

BS6 Hero Xtreme 200S price and launch

Hero has been teasing the launch of the BS6 Xtreme 200S for a while now, but the update to the website suggests that a launch is finally near. We spoke with a couple of dealerships and they have confirmed that the BS6 Xtreme 200S will be priced at Rs 1.15 lakh –  a notable Rs 13,000 over the BS4 model – and that the bike has already begun reaching their dealerships.
