Sales numbers for the top companies in the Indian two-wheeler industry have come out for the final month of FY26 and here’s how each heavyweight performed.
Hero: 5,52,505 units
Hero maintains its usual position at the top of the pile and did so while reporting a 6.87 percent increase over its February 2026 sales number (5,16,968 units). The brand also reported a 9.05 percent increase over its sales in March 2025 (5,06,641 units). Hero exported 45,693 units in March, which was an increase over the 41,248 units it sent overseas in February.
Honda: 5,12,303 units
Honda was in its usual number two spot and reported a tiny 0.17 percent decline compared to its February 2026 sales (5,13,190 units). However, in comparison to its sales for March 2025 (4,01,411 units), it reported a big 27.63 percent increase. Honda exported 36,842 units in March which were a sizable drop from the 54,161 units it sent overseas in February 2026.
Honda recently announced that it is looking to expand its off-road bike lineup in India as well as focus more on off-road racing in the country.
TVS: 3,72,383 units
Hosur-based TVS reported a small 1.90 percent increase in comparison to its February 2026 numbers (3,65,471 units). TVS also reported a big 25.12 percent increase when compared to its March 2025 sales of 2,97,622 units. The company exported 1,25,751 units in the previous month, which is a drop compared to the 1,42,391 units it sent abroad in February 2026
The design of the Norton Manx R V4 superbike has been patented in India which signals that the TVS-owned brand is inching closer to a market launch.
Bajaj: 2,21,021 units
Bajaj has breached the 2 lakh units domestic sales mark after a bit of a hiatus and in doing so has reported a healthy 18.72 percent increase over February 2026’s sales of 1,86,164 units. Bajaj also reported a sizable 20.34 percent increase in comparison to its March 2025 sales tally of 1,83,659 units. Bajaj is India’s largest two-wheeler exporter and it sent 1,59,452 units overseas last month, which was quite a substantial decrease in comparison to the 1,93,757 units it exported in February.
Bajaj recently re-launched the Pulsar 180 and is gearing up to revamp all of the Classic Pulsar models later this year.
Suzuki: 1,05,397 units
Suzuki has been consistently posting six-figure monthly sales of late and the company reported a 4.30 percent increase last month in comparison to its February 2026 sales of 1,01,071 units. Its year-on-year sales were largely flat and it reported a negligible decline of 0.32 percent in comparison to its March 2025 sales of 1,05,736 units. Suzuki exported 22,830 units last month which was a small increase compared to the 22,228 units it sent overseas in February.
Royal Enfield: 1,00,406 units
Royal Enfield too reported sales of over 1 lakh units last month and it reported a 10 percent increase in comparison to its February 2026 sales tally of 91,248 units. In comparison to its March 2025 sales of 88,050 units, it reported a healthy 14.03 percent increase. Royal Enfield’s export business too reported healthy growth and it exported 11,928 units last month, which was an increase over the 9,657 units it sent overseas in February.
The company recently launched its first electric bike under the Flying Flea banner, the C6, although currently it is only available in Bengaluru.
