There's been a lot of speculation about the launch of Bajaj-Triumph's first motorcycle for years. However, we now have a date.

    1. Global unveil in London on June 27
    2. Bike to be manufactured by Bajaj Auto in India
    3. Expected to be the most affordable Triumph motorcycle once launched

In a recent interview, Rajiv Bajaj, CEO of Bajaj Auto, said that the new Bajaj-Triumph bike that's been spotted testing in India will be globally unveiled in London by Triumph "by the end of June, perhaps on June 27."

He added that the bike will be going on sale around the second quarter of this financial year. Rajiv Bajaj also hinted that there is more than one bike under development, which could also go on sale in the second quarter.

    Bajaj-Triumph bike: details

The Bajaj-Triumph Scrambler has been spotted testing in India multiple times over the past. In recent spy shots we noticed that the bike has handsome proportions. The design seems to take inspiration from the existing Triumph Bonneville family of motorcycles.

The riding position on this test bike also seems pretty relaxed, but there isn't much room for the pillion, by the looks of it.

As for the engine, the bike is expected to be powered by a 300-400cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This bike is expected to be the most affordable Triumph that one can buy, once it goes on sale.
