Aprilia has showcased its SR GT scooters and the Tuono 660 Factory and RS 660 Limited Edition motorcycles at EICMA. The scooters are available in two variants, while the motorcycles – Factory and Limited Edition – are higher-spec variants of existing bikes.

  • The scooters get engine start-stop function

  • Both SR GT scooters get 14-inch front wheels

  • RS 660 limited to 1,500 units

Aprilia SR GT 125, 200

The SR GT is the company’s first ‘urban adventure scooter’. Its design draws inspiration from other Aprilia models, with few elements being similar to the SXR scooter on sale in India. The signature tri-LED headlight up front, smoked windscreen and sharp tail-light are some design cues that stand out.

Powering the SR GT 125 is a 125cc, single-cylinder engine that makes an impressive 15hp and 12Nm of torque. The SR GT 200, on the other hand, is powered by a 174cc, single-cylinder unit that makes 17.6hp and 16.5Nm of torque.

Suspension duty is handled by a 33mm fork and twin rear shock absorbers. The SR GT’s also use 14-inch and 13-inch wheels at the front and rear, respectively. The SR GT 125 has a kerb weight of 144kg, while the SR GT 200 weighs 4kg more. The scooters have an underseat storage capacity of 25 litres and 9-litre fuel tanks.

The Tuono 660 Factory is now the top-spec variant of the motorbike and gets a new, fully adjustable 41mm Kayaba fork and a Sachs monoshock. In Factory trim, you also get a lightweight lithium battery that Aprilia claims has helped reduce the kerb weight by 2kg.

While the engine and electronics are similar to the standard bike, the Factory variant additionally gets cornering lights, along with new colour scheme and tail cowl.

Aprilia RS 660 Limited Edition

To celebrate its victory at the 2021 MotoAmerica Twins Cup, Aprilia unveiled a new limited edition RS 660 variant at EICMA this year. The Aprilia RS 660 Limited Edition features a stars and stripes livery inspired by the American flag.

Aprilia has said that it will be limited to 1,500 units, with each bike getting a special tank badge with the serial number. There are no mechanical changes on the motorcycle, but it does get a sporty tail cowl and taller windscreen. Lastly, the shift pattern can be switched to a race track-oriented inverted configuration from the standard set-up.
