Apollo recently launched a sporty new tyre called the Alpha H1. The tyre is available in the two most popular sizes seen on entry-level performance bikes in India. These tyres are also W rated, which means they have a speed rating of up to 270kph.

At present, Apollo is offering the tyres only in 110/70 R17 and 150/60 R17 for the front and rear, respectively. They are priced at Rs 6,499 (front) and Rs 8,499 (rear). According to the company, “The Apollo Alpha - 'Zero Degree' steel belt motorcycle radial has been designed and developed in-house at Apollo Tyres’ Global R&D Centre in Chennai, with the primary focus being on grip and safety, with optimised tread mileage. It has been designed with high silica-reinforced compound for best grip during cornering and other forms of manoeuvring.”

The company also introduced a new campaign recently to announce the launch of its two-wheeler radial tyres. The ‘Beast’ was unleashed today, as the TVC went live on digital platforms. Conceptualised by J Walter Thompson, and produced by Small Fry Productions, the television commercial for Apollo Alpha aims at adding more ‘thrill to the beast (bike)’.
