Indian has revamped its Scout line-up for 2025 with major changes to the engine and frame. The 2025 Indian Scout range features a liquid-cooled, 1,250cc V-Twin that replaces the outgoing 1,133cc engine, with a new frame to house this revamped motor. This marks the first full-scale overhaul for the Indian Scout line-up since Polaris took over the storied American bikemaker.

  1. 1,250cc V-Twin makes 5hp, 12Nm more than old engine
  2. 3 trim levels available on Bobber, Classic and Sport variants
  3. 101 Scout gets adjustable suspension, radial Brembo brakes

Indian Scout variants, trims

The new engine is dubbed the SpeedPlus and the company claims it makes 105hp at 7,250rpm and 109Nm at 6,300rpm; 5hp and 12Nm more than the 1,133cc motor. The range-topping 101 Scout has even higher output figures at 111hp and 111Nm.

Indian has also moved to a new tubular steel frame and the radiator is tucked away a little more discreetly than before, quite important on a bike that places form over function.

The 2025 Indian Scout will be available in five different variants: the stripped-down Bobber, the aggressive Sport, the heritage-inspired Classic, the light-touring Super and a historic name from Indian's past, the range-topping 101 Scout.

Each variant is available in three configurations – Standard, Limited and Limited + Tech – which means 15 different permutations and combinations of the Indian Scout are available. Optioning the Scout with the Limited pack unlocks more paint options, cruise control and traction control, while the top-spec Limited + Tech brings in a circular 4-inch TFT dash as well as keyless ignition.

The higher Super and 101 variants get the Limited + Tech pack as standard, which means the TFT display, riding aids and keyless ignition are all factory fitment on these two variants. The 101 Scout is the sportiest of the bunch, and is the only variant to get fully adjustable suspension at both ends and radially mounted Brembo monobloc calipers with twin disc brakes at the front. Meanwhile, the Super Scout gets a pillion seat, backrest and retro-looking saddlebags as standard.
