The updated, 2021 KTM 125 Duke is set to be launched in a few weeks’ time, and we’ve got all the details of the refreshed 125 Duke, courtesy a leaked image.

  • Similar design to KTM 200 Duke

  • Likely to get the same LCD screen as the 200 Duke

  • Bookings open for 2021 KTM 125 Duke

2021 KTM 125 Duke design changes

With the update, the KTM 125 Duke features the same design that you see on the current KTM Duke 200. A majority of its parts – from the headlight, fuel tank, tank extensions, tail panels and even its LCD screen – look identical to those of the 200 Duke, save for the different colour schemes. The motorcycle in the image has a white fuel tank and bold orange extensions, which should appeal to the younger audience that KTM targets with the 125 Duke. Details on more colour options will be revealed closer to the launch.

This design update was expected as the 125 remained the only Duke on sale to not feature the sharper, more aggressive styling in line with the rest of the KTM Duke family in India.

2021 KTM 125 Duke chassis

Along with updates to the styling, the KTM 125 Duke also makes the switch to the same platform that underpins the 200 Duke, which means it gets the same steel trellis frame with a bolt-on subframe. The wheels, brakes, USD front fork and monoshock are the same as before.

The 125 Duke is likely to get a larger 13.4-litre fuel tank. The kerb weight will probably go up as well - a similar update took the KTM 200 Duke’s weight from 148kg to 159kg.

2021 KTM 125 Duke engine

The updated KTM 125 Duke will be powered by a BS6-compliant 124cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 14.5hp and 12Nm and is mated to a six-speed transmission.

2021 KTM 125 Duke price and availability

Given the updates to the styling, KTM is expected to hike the price of the 125 Duke by as much as Rs 5,000. Bookings for the 2021 KTM 125 Duke have opened, and we expect the motorcycle to go on sale by the end of December.
