Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India commenced deliveries of the 2018 Gold Wing, its flagship premium touring machine, at a grand event held in Jaipur.

Heavily revised for 2018, the new Gold Wing features a reworked 1,833cc flat-six engine coupled with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. In addition to this, the tourer gets a raft of features, including a 7.0-inch TFT display, Apple CarPlay integration, keyless ignition, heated grips and seats, cruise control, full-LED lighting and an electronically adjustable screen.

The 2018 Gold Wing also features a unique double-wishbone front suspension system, similar to the Duolever system seen on some high-end BMW motorcycles.

All of this, rather predictably, comes at a hefty price; the Gold Wing retails for Rs 26.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is sold across 24 Honda Wing World dealerships in India. Its pricing makes it slightly more expensive than the Harley-Davidson Road King, but considerably cheaper than the Road Glide Special. And when compared to Indian’s line-up, the Honda Gold Wing is priced a bit above the Chief Vintage, but considerably less than the Springfield.
