The Fascino received its last major update more than four years ago.

A facelifted version of the Yamaha Fascino 125 Hybrid scooter has been spotted undisguised at a dealership, suggesting that its launch isn’t too far away. The Fascino is one of three 125cc scooters that Yamaha fields in the class and the last major update it received was over four years ago when the BS6 norms came into effect.

Yamaha Fascino facelift: what has changed?

A revised tail section is visible, suggesting some design tweaks.

The Fascino 125 (and its Ray 125 sibling) are the most affordable Yamaha products in India, and as such account for a large chunk of the manufacturer’s sales in the segment. Given that the 125cc scooter space has moved on a fair bit in the years since the Fascino 125 was last updated, Yamaha seems to be gearing up to give its family styled 125cc scooter a bit of a nip and tuck job.

From the images, we can see only the rear of the updated Fascino, and there are some changes to the design. The tail-light is now a separate unit from the indicators, unlike the current model which has a single housing. Not much else is visible, but there could also be some small design changes to the front of the scooter. It's also unclear at this point whether some new features could be added to the mix. Generally, facelifted models usually bring in some additional features and colours to distinguish themselves from the outgoing model.

Other than that, the scooter appears to be similar with the engine, instrumentation, switchgear and floorboard all appearing to be nearly identical to the current Fascino’s. The scooter in question appears to be the Fascino S variant, which has a unique feature in that it has an answer back feature. The feature works by activating both left and right indicators along with the horn for two seconds.

Currently, the Yamaha Fascino 125 Hybrid is priced between Rs 74,910 and Rs 95,200 (ex-showroom, Delhi), and you can expect a small price hike when this updated model is launched.
