After speaking to a number of Suzuki dealers across the country, we have gathered that the upcoming GSX-S750 will be priced at around Rs 7.5 lakh (ex-showroom), with an on-road price of around Rs 9 lakh, depending on the city and state. Select dealerships in India have also started accepting bookings for the middleweight sport-naked motorcycle with deliveries likely to commence by the end of April.

The Mumbai dealership quotes an ex-showroom price of Rs 7.60 lakh and an on-road price of Rs 9.25 lakh. The booking amount for the bike at this dealer is around Rs 2-3 lakh, with a delivery time of 5-6 days. The dealer in Delhi quotes an ex-showroom price of about Rs 7.50 lakh and an on-road price between Rs 8.35-8.50 lakh. Meanwhile, the Bangalore dealership quotes an ex-showroom price of Rs 7.25 lakh and on-road price of around Rs 9 lakh. The Suzuki dealer in Pune, on the other hand, only said the GSX-S750 would cost around Rs 9 lakh on-road. The Mumbai, Delhi and Pune dealers have started accepting bookings, while the Bangalore one hasn’t.

In terms of pricing, the Suzuki GSX-S750 is placed very close to the Kawasaki Z900, which costs Rs 7.60 lakh. Another rival, the Triumph Street Triple S, is priced much higher, at Rs 9.19 lakh. The closest Ducati at this price point is the Monster 797, which is priced at Rs 8.03 lakh. However, this Italian naked is quite basic compared to these bikes, and a more fitting rival has been due for a while now in the form of the BS-IV-compliant Monster 821, although that bike is expected to be priced upwards of Rs 10 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom India).

The GSX-S750 is powered by a 749cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, in-line, four-cylinder motor that makes 114hp and 81Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and is packed with electronics such as a three-mode traction control system that can be switched off completely.

We will be riding the GSX-S750 tomorrow, so look out for our first ride review going live soon.
