  • The 1,200cc parallel-twin engine has a Scrambler tune

  • Power and torque figures remain unchanged

  • The Scrambler’s updated exhaust features improved heat distribution

Like most of the models in the 2021 Bonneville range, the Triumph Scrambler has received changes to the engine and exhaust system in order to meet Euro 5 (BS6) emission norms. Triumph has said that the 1,200cc, parallel-twin engine continues to make 90hp and 110Nm of torque and will have a dedicated Scrambler tune. In addition to this, the updated exhaust system is also said to have improved heat distribution.

The powertrain setup is identical on the XC, XE and the new Steve McQueen Edition, which is an individually numbered limited edition with only 1,000 available worldwide. It features Steve McQueen branding on the tank and handlebar clamp, and a custom green colour scheme. This edition also features multiple accessories fitted as standard.

Everything else remains the same as before, including the double-cradle frame and wire-spoke 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres. Suspension duties are taken care of by a 45mm fully adjustable Showa USD fork and a set of fully adjustable Ohlins dual shocks at the back – both offer a very impressive 200mm of suspension travel. Braking hardware consists of dual front discs and a Brembo M50 four-piston caliper, along with a dual-piston Brembo with a single disc at the rear.
