The Thruxton 400 has been launched in India.  It is largely based on the Speed 400 and carries a few notable design upgrades to suit its cafe racer format. Notably a half fairing which is colour matched and clip-on bars. A different and a sharper fuel-tank that will be exclusive to the Thruxton 400 with an inset for the Triumph logo. Another point of distinction would be its rectangular taillight which is different as compared to the 3D, layered tail light that is on Triumph’s 400cc lineup.

This new model will use the same 398cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine found on the rest of the 400cc Triumph range, producing 42hp and 37.5Nm-- a gain of 2hp. The chassis, suspension and braking hardware are carried over from the Speed 400. Priced at Rs 2.74 lakh, it commands a premium of Rs 24,000 more expensive than the Speed 400.

Delhi’s pollution crisis justifies strong mandates like this
Buyers will find ways around it, like registering in other states
It's too harsh! Incentivising EV purchases is a better strategy
The mandate should extend to four-wheelers too
